Welcome to Destination Dorset

A new tourism partnership ‘Destination Dorset’, uniting public, private and voluntary sectors was launched in April 2009. “Destination Dorset” aims to ensure that the tourism industry in Dorset remains one of the most important industries in the county and is able to meet the changing demands of the visitor.

The partnership is working to a Business Plan, which outlines its aspirations for implementing sustainable tourism practices, improving the quality of our product, improving the knowledge base and Dorset-wide marketing activity.

Destination Management is delivered through strong partnerships between tourism’s public and private businesses and is supported by South West Tourism and the South West Regional Development Agency. Further details of the regional strategy are available at 'Towards 2015'
